It’s hard to believe that 2008 is already here. It’s seems like yesterday it was 2000 and Ray and I were packing things up all by ourselves and moving to Iceland. Now there are days that Iceland seems like a distant memory. Last night Ray said that it wasn’t so long ago that he could never have imagined his life would bring him to Virginia Beach getting out of mini-van with Brandi Jackson and 3 little girls. Well, here we are…
The new year is going to bring lots of change. Joe Piselli is off to college. All the Stiffs are going to miss him hanging out, doing our yard work and babysitting Tucker. Hanan and Arleigh are going to miss his wheelchair rides around the church building. (Only when the building is empty!)
The pictures are of our annual New Year’s Eve family night at church. We go to the building and play games and have snacks. Around 9 the kids put on a talent show. Arleigh and Hanan sang “You Are The Music In Me” from High School Musical 2, I think. We had a great time and rang in the new year with all our friends. The talent show is always great fun, sometimes a little shocking. Sometimes it’s the talent that shocks you like Kevin Piselli taking his shirt off while jumping up and down on a pogo stick. Sometimes it’s the lack of talent, I won’t mention names here due to my own lack of talent.
The baby calls. My new year is going to be full of diapers, piano, soccer and spit up. That’s how I like it.
