I should be embarrassed to show you the parts on the girls’ hair but I couldn’t resist sharing these pictures. Sunday mornings can be quite busy. We try to get to church between 8:30 and 9:00. Yesterday I got the girls dressed and turned on Noggin. Arleigh is now in the “I don’t want to watch it! It’s for preschoolers!” stage of life. Lucky for me Franklin was on and Mrs. Eavey reads Franklin books at school. She plopped down with Hanan without saying a word. I grabbed the camera to take a picture of the moment of peace. I love their three little heads…

On Sunday nights we host LIFE Group. We don’t have Sunday evening services so we meet at people’s homes for dinner and a Bible study. We’re always in a rush getting the house ready for all our guests. In the middle of the rush our friends the Duck family showed up. They make an appearance for a few weeks every year. They came right to the front door. Everything stopped and we enjoyed their visit.

It was so nice to find a couple of moments to stop and enjoy the quiet yesterday in the middle of everything. I’m going to make a point to try an enjoy a couple of moments like that every day.
