As always, I’m a day (or three, wait, it’s after midnight make that 4) late and a dollar short. Ray’s birthday was Thursday. We celebrated with a night out. We were blessed with free babysitting (Grandma’s in town visiting) and wonderful weather. We went to the Kenny Chesney concert.
I have a new respect for country music. He sounded so great. It was a fabulous concert. We received bonus entertainment from some guy in a wife beater dancing to the beat of his own drum a few feet away. He was so good other people were stopping to take pictures. Ray took this picture with his phone just before the concert started. Sorry for the graphic nature but I had to share the view from our lawn seats.
Good times folks! We really did have fun. We found ourselves wondering why we don’t take advantage of the summer concerts more often. We only live 15 minutes from the amphitheater for crying out loud. Oh that’s right, it costs money for the tickets, and to pay the babysitter. Don’t forget the $12 beer and $10 fries. Then there’s the fact that we have to mow the yard and take care of the kids. I’m remembering now. It sure was fun while it lasted.
Happy Birthday Honey! I love you and I still love date nights even if we are getting older.
