The very first book I’ve read as a Thomas Nelson Blogger is Fearless Imagine Your Life Without Fear by Max Lucado. Lucado poses a challenge that I hadn’t considered. “What if faith, not fear was your default reaction to threats?” He then goes on to explain exactly what this life would look like.

While I don’t believe I live in fear or I’m prone to anxiety, I came to realize that we all have fears and they play a huge role in our life decisions. This was an eye opening book with many spiritual truths. Lucado’s writing has a way of speaking to all of us. His writing style makes me feel like I’m having a conversation with him. This book is easy to read and I couldn’t wait to have my next epiphany. It’s not often I want to highlight a book, but this one looks like it’s bleeding a bright pink.

Why did I choose this as my first book for Thomas Nelson? I’ve been reading Max Lucado books for a very long time. I already know I like his style. More personally, my eight-year old seems to live her life guided by fear. Long before I heard about this book, I worried about her. I still do. This book has helped my find scriptural references to use as a parent to help her see that we are called to be courageous. I’m so glad that was the book I chose. I’ll leave you with a video that will give you a better idea of the book. I highly recommend you read it soon.
