Our weekend has been fabulous. Grandpa and Grandma came for a quick visit. We thought it might be a little bit longer because Grandma quit her job. We were so excited to know she would be spending more time with us. Then, they told her, nope. She couldn’t quit. So they pulled out a day early so she could save another school. That’s a post for another day though.
We had a laid back family weekend. We’re looking forward to more of them. Daddy is home. Family is a couple of hours away. The girls can spend their Saturday mornings talking to their friends in Virginia over Skype. Arleigh and Bria were chatting with the Matneys.
We watched Cats win again while we did girly things like apply lotion. We read books. We did our Math-a-thon work books. We put Ray and Grandpa to work hanging shelves and pictures that I didn’t want to hang by myself. Grandpa is pretty handy to have around. We might make him come more often.
We picked lint from our belly buttons… (She’s going to kill me for that.)
We have an extra day off tomorrow. There will be more shelves to hang, more boxes to unpack and walks to take. We’ll have trips to the store and phone calls to make. It is starting to feel like home.
