We were talking about you last night. How I miss sharing stories of rednecks and trailers painted pink! You’re getting a little closer to seeing how the other half live in a couple of short months.
To hold you over, here’s a picture of the girls’ Kentucky blue grass from Easter because I knew it would make you smile and I needed a giggle today.
I just know you’ll love Kase’s makeshift basket after his was overflowing with eggs. Do you know what Ashley Judd said about us Kentucky girls?
“Tough girls come from New York. Sweet girls, they’re from Georgia. But us Kentucky girls, we have fire and ice in our blood. We can ride horses, be a debutante, throw left hooks, and drink with the boys, all the while making sweet tea, darlin’. And if we have an opinion, you know you’re gonna hear it.”
I think I’m raising a few legacies.
I’m ready for you guys to be close so I can tell you about all the things that I can’t write about for fear that I might hurt someone’s feelings. Things like the goats at trade day, Amish peanut butter, campers, mules, trailer parks and the best locations for the trailers/campers. Oh how thinking of a few hillbilly tendencies makes me miss Iceland. Don’t you wish you had been over for pimento cheese and the CMA awards last night?
How are the big dogs on the island? I want to know.
