Where do we start? We are a Navy family, constantly on the move finding the wind in our sails. Ray is the web designer, woodworker, scientist and sailor. B is the writer, bus driver, cook, tutor, housekeeper, and well lots of other things too. We have big girls on pom squads and playing the piano, a very bossy four year old, a quietly loud three-year old boy and a big funny tree house climbing dog without a tree house to climb since we moved. Since bringing Jack home from China, we’re clearly involved in orphan care both here in the states and abroad. There’s lots to do and so much fun. We count our many, many blessings daily.
Stay tuned… things might get interesting with our misadventures in parenting!
In March of 2010 we began the process of adopting our son, Jack. Our hope and prayer was to share our blessings with a child that might never experience the love of a family. On October 1, 2011 we brought Jack home. Little did we know how blessed we would be by that tiny little boy.
Our hopes and prayers changed to prayers of thanks for the many blessing Jack brings and prayers that other orphans will find their families.
James 1:27 says “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”
We are all in and know that we can do all things through He who strengthens us.
